In School this year we will be taking more notice:
Increased reward categories so there are many more rewards than sanctions
Developing our tutor reflection programme, introducing the 'I am ...'
Increased school leadership/
Wellbeing Wednesday from Term 3 with an emphasis on things to try and strategies to enhance mental health.
A gratitude project
Aspirational displays around the school, including the 5 steps to wellbeing
Prompt questions around the school to make people think about others.
Mindfulness training for students
Take more notice out of school
Enjoy going out in the rain, or feeling the cold on your breath
Think about what your parents do for you
Consider your strengths and how to make the most of them
Think back to when you were a little child and reflect on what childhood happiness felt like. Try to recreate that when you are feeling negative
See the beauty in the smallest thing
Reflect on the positives in your life
Savour every mouthful of a meal
If you feel anxious do some deep breathing. Breathe in for the count of 3, hold for 3 then breathe out to the count of 3. repeat 10 times.
Watch animal and birds outside
Plan your future: where would you like to be in 5 years time?
Notice your neighbours and people around you
Think about who inspires you and why
Try a new food and notice how it tastes
