Charity Fundraising

What we do ...

In school we try to make our students aware of things outside of school and give you opportunities to support charities which either have a link with our students or staff for whatever reason, or those who support the local or national community.

See below for our House Charities for this year.

Our House Charities for this year

Breamore House are supporting Wiltshire Air Ambulance - an essential helicopter emergency medical service, primarily for the people of Wiltshire and adjacent English counties.  It is run by Wiltshire Air Ambulance Charitable Trust - a registered charity.

Clarendon House are supporting The National Autistic Society - a British charity whose purpose is to improve the lives of autistic people in the United Kingdom.

Longford House are supporting Medical Detection Dogs - they train dogs to detect the odour of human disease.  It is at the forefront of the research into the fight against Cancer and helping people with life-threatening diseases.

Pembroke House are supporting Salisbury Hospice Charity - they raise funds which enable the hospice to continue to offer nursing and medical care, emotional and practical support, welfare advice, occupational and physiotherapy, complementary therapies, spiritual care and creative activities.

Radnor House are supporting Julia's House - Julia's House is not a typical children's hospice.  They provide practical and emotional support for families caring for a child with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition, providing frequent and regular support in their own homes; in the community, or at their hospices.

This year prefects are linked to each Head of House to spearhead charity fundraising efforts.  Everyone of us can find some way of supporting the House charities  It may be a sponsored silence, a fitness challenge or something more wacky - we all have the chance to shine!
